The poster is from a campaign to get the high speed trains ("TGV") to stop in a large town in the South of France where currently it passes through without stopping. The text of the picture is "With the TGV she would have suffered less !"
So why did this cause a scandal ? One would expect (this is France, after all) that it was because it's a misogynistic poster. But actually it is worse than that. The poster exploited a true-life incident in which a local man murdered his wife by tying her to the tracks before throwing himself under the same train: bit.ly/2kqBgkM

Hiatus and commissions
I made my first Damsel in Distress picture in October 2005, this one :thumb44760648: using an Ashley Renee picture for the face. It was my first contribution to AVGDID, where I had been lurking for a few months. Since then I produced some 280 pictures and stories... Not bad, umm?
However, my motivation to draw suddenly seem to have disappeared. The backload of fav's to thank and new deviations is also exploding. The reason of the motivation loss? Who knows. My present workload, slight health problems after a stupid accident don't help either. Full stop drawing hiatuses have happened to me before. Unfortunately... the previous period in which

It is official now: one Frenchman in four is a racist. And I have serious doubts about the other three. A poll showed that the woman leader of the extreme right party, the National Front, will arrive first in next year's presidential elections, with about 25% of the votes. Their program is simple. There is 10% joblessness in France, therefore throw out all those people not born in France: problem solved.

Here is the latest update of my list of artist doing bondage drawings commissions. Hey people, the economy is still bad, except for the speculators, so a lot of people on DA need some extra money and offer commissions.
For the latest prices and conditions, see the artist pages. Nevertheless I added two price indications, the first indicating what a line drawing would cost you, the second a one character full colour drawing. But note that some artists give you more for the same price. Two questions marks mean that I can't figure it out.
So: $13-$26 means Linedrawing $13 Colour $26; ??-$15 means Colour $15, Linedrawing unknown; etc.

Real life!
Most of this week I am at a physics conference somewhere in snow covered Germany. One of the speakers of today was a nice looking, female PhD student. Her talk about a type of detector that she is developing for her thesis seemed rather interesting. But I digress.
When she plugged her USB key into the conference PC to transfer the PowerPoint file of her talk, I saw that the last file listed in the directory was... Bound_Gefesselt_Thriller.divx

The mayor who did this is Robert Ménard. He is from extrem right and well known in France for his shocking communication. For exemple he already did a picture whith black and arabians mens, looking like hooligans with the text : "They are coming : the migrants !" because the government wanted his city of 75 000 inhabtiants must to get 200 migrants in one building to welcome them. It's something to not be agree with immigration but that had a little smell of 1930's
